Who is responsible

JourneyBuddy AI Pvt Ltd, Kundapura, Udupi 576201, Karnataka, India, runs Travel Buddies and is responsible for your data. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

• Your name, email address and, if you choose, your WhatsApp number
• The country you live in, your usual route and how often you travel
• How you would use Travel Buddies and your answers about fair prices
• The date and time you joined, and the country your connection came from (we do not store your IP address)

Visits to this website

We count visits anonymously to see how many people find the page and start the form. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and our own counter, which stores only the type of event, the link it came from (for example, the WhatsApp group), the country and the time. Neither stores your IP address or anything that identifies you.

Why we use it

To invite you to the pilot and the launch, to email you about Travel Buddies, and to understand demand and fair pricing in anonymised totals. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you join. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Where it is stored and who processes it

The waitlist is stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and may process data outside the EU under the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Until 12 months after the public launch, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing [email protected]. Every email we send also has an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority; in Denmark that is Datatilsynet.
